I think scheme is pretty useless too but oh well.
I've never heard of cpsc111/121 tho, what da fuck is that?
by the way, i took cpsc152(which is = cpsc122) and 128
122 teaches u C++, 128 is all scheme.
i just checked out the new course description, actually i think 111/121 are pretty cool. maybe u should follow that
and if u look at the cs program requirement in the new calendar, cpsc111/121 are required, so u won't be able to graduate if u don't take them. haha :biglaugh:
looks like they made a big change to the cs program, it seems like they want to get u guys into the theory part of the computer science faster than b4. Hopefully they removed scheme from the 100-level courses. |

I kinda doubt they will remove scheme.
If you took stats or related course in some science course in UBC you probably have used a program called JumpIn. It's written in Scheme by someone in UBC and there is a 300 course that teaches you how to write CLASS in scheme. yes, CLASS, thats crazy
