Snowfall warning for
greater Vancouver continued
Further 2 to 5 cm of snow across the Inner South Coast except 10 to
20 cm for the east side of Vancouver Island.
Freezing rain warning for
greater Vancouver issued
Areas of freezing rain expected for greater Victoria greater Vancouver Lower Fraser Valley Howe Sound and west Vancouver Island -
inland sections.

An Arctic ridge of high pressure remains over British Columbia. Strong outflow winds near mainland inlets and valleys combined with cold temperatures will produce very cold windchill values of -20 to -30.
The above situation combined with the approach of a frontal system from the southwest is producing outflow winds of 70 to 90 km/h over the north and central coast and northern Vancouver Island and through Howe Sound.
Snow is starting to change to rain across the Inner South Coast. However an additional snowfall accumulation of 2 to 5 cm is still possible before the transition takes place. The east side of Vancouver Island will continue to see snow tonight and an additional 10 to 20 cm is possible before the snow changes to rain overnight.
Areas of freezing rain are beginning across parts of greater Vancouver area this evening and will extend to the Lower Fraser Valley and Howe Sound tonight. Patches of freezing rain are also expected for greater Victoria and the inland sections of west Vancouver Island. The freezing rain is expected to continue this evening and will ease overnight for greater Vancouver greater Victoria and inland sections of Vancouver Island. The freezing rain will continue for Howe Sound and the Fraser Valley through Wednesday morning
