Welcome to 2003 - a new beginning, a new semester, …a new season of
UBC Legacy Games league sport action! Featuring the Ultimate, Bodin Ball
Hockey, Todd Ice Hockey, SRC Futsal (indoor soccer), Nitobe Basketball,
and Cross Volleyball leagues, this term’s league sport line-up…

1) Has something for everyone:

- Recreational and competitive programs; Men, Corec and Female
divisions; Represent your unit (faculty, residence, greek society), AMS Club
or play with friends; sign up as a single/free agent on our website.

2) Is not your typical “intramural” program:

- 7 games (minimum), officials for competitive options, required uniforms, up-
to-date team and individual stats, playoffs (for those who qualify), winners’
photos and an end-of-term social.

3) Is about so much more than competition:

- Enjoy sport, enjoy the company of friends, meet new people, stay active,
try something new, have a lot of fun.

Look out for some great events in January also

For the first time ever the A-MAZE-ING Maze team challenge will be coming to UBC. This one of kind event will truly excite and amaze first time participants. The setting will be a smokey, dark, black lit room filled with hay-bails, barrels, tennis ball machines, and various other surprise paraphenilia. Each team will compete in three challenges to begin the competition and once their scores are tallied they will get ready to run The Gauntlet. With tennis ball shooters firing balls in every direction, competitors will have the dual task of sleuthing the maze and having to dodge tennis balls being fired by Legacy Games Gladiators. Picture the American Gladiators Eliminator Challenge within the midst of a Maze, add in mental and physical challenges and you have the Gauntlet. The event will begin with three rotational events and they will be: James Bond, The Race, and Capture the Maze

Other note worthy events in January are UBC Winter Broomball Championship, last year this event sold out before the registration deadline with 24 teams. The UBC 3 on 3 Volleyball tournament will be taking place on January 18th and the champions will go to a provincial Intramural tournament.
